The Skinny Latte Diaries is the digital brainchild of an anything-goes blogger from sunny Manila. A creature of habit, but definitely craves for the occasional misadventure.
She thinks she’s allergic to color. She is madly in love with coffee and the way her mattress welcomes her at the end of a tiring day. She loves the feeling of warmth after being in winter-like temperatures for too long. She believes that music and a good hearty laugh is highly therapeutic.
She loves romanticized vocabulary and the kind of literature that dwells on details, until you can actually feel the blade of the grass pricking your calves or the heat of the sun kissing your shoulders or hear the impatience in someone’s voice, or smell the hint of fresh rain on the ground, or see the hues that make up the profile of someone’s eyes. She likes the kind of writing that caters to all the senses.
She is a frustrated photographer, and has an overwhelming passion for writing and literature. When asked why she writes, she lets the great F. Scott Fitzgerald do the explaining for her: “That is the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you’re not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong.”
